🌿 Gallery & Display Is everything at the gallery for sale? Almost everything! Items displayed in garden beds or potted up planters are part of our permanent display. What materials do you use? Our sculptures feature bronze, brass, terrazzo, terracotta, fibreglass, Corten steel, and stainless steel. Pots & urns are terracotta with paint & concrete finishes. Where are your sculptures made? We partner with skilled workshops in Southeast Asia and now also proudly collaborate with a local New Zealand artist. Why are your prices so competitive for such large pieces? We are passionate about making stunning, large-scale garden art accessible. We keep our prices incredibly fair through two intentional choices: 1. Direct Importing: Instead of sourcing through multiple local middlemen or dealing with high local manufacturing costs for specific materials, we collaborate directly with trusted global artisans. By bringing items in ourselves by the container load, we pass those massive bulk-shipping savings straight to you. 2. Low Overheads: We don't run an expensive, high-street retail showroom. Muddy Hill Garden Gallery is operated directly from our beautiful home property. Because we don't have to pay commercial rent or heavy staffing costs, we don’t have to build those extra margins into our prices.When you buy from us, every dollar goes directly into the quality of your garden piece - not into overheads. Plus, you get a much more personal, authentic experience when you come to visit! How do I care for my sculpture? Wipe regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Where can I find the weights and dimensions? Specific weights and dimensions are detailed on each individual piece’s webpage - just click on the image of the piece you'd like more detail on. Can I hold an item while I measure my garden? Yes, we can hold any gallery piece for up to 48 hours while you confirm it fits your space. Will Corten steel stain my patio or decking? Corten steel naturally develops a protective rust patina. During the initial weathering phase, rainwater runoff can cause orange staining on porous stone or timber decks. We recommend placing them on lawn, gravel, or protective slabs. Do pots and urns need frost protection in winter? Yes. For outdoor display, remove or pierce the rubber foot on the pot to ensure there is sufficient drainage to prevent standing water from freezing inside the base. 🚚 Delivery & Events Do you deliver locally? Yes, we offer free delivery anywhere within the Wakatipu Basin. Do you ship outside of Central Otago? Yes! We safely secure and ship more pieces across New Zealand than stay right here in the local region. How do you ship across New Zealand? Booth’s Logistics can deliver from our gallery to your door or to their nearest depot for collection. Smaller pieces (under 1.25cbm) can be delivered to you on NZ Post. Do you ship overseas? We don't ship from the gallery, but we can arrange for our partner workshops to create and ship a piece directly to you. Which local events do you attend? Catch us at the Lake Hayes A&P Show, Ayrburn Christmas Markets, and Arrowtown Autumn Festival. We don't exhibit at the Wānaka AMP Show. 🎨 Custom Orders & Creations How do I order a custom sculpture? Contact us with your design ideas, dimensions, materials, and any reference images to get started. How long do custom pieces take? We will give you an estimated completion date once your concept artwork is confirmed. How do you keep custom shipping costs down? We include custom pieces with our 20ft container shipments to keep your freight costs as affordable as possible. Can you replicate a sold-out sculpture? Our pieces are strictly limited editions.
